Bethesda has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI, the sequel to 2011’s The Elder Scroll’s V: Skyrim, is in pre-production. This announcement means two things, first, that Bethesda is finally working on a sequel to Skyrim and second that this sequel is over a year away from release.
All that is known about the game right now is shown in the teaser below, showcasing an expansive landscape and the game’s logo. Given the game’s pre-production state, which means that Bethesda has nothing to show us aside from a short, low effort, teaser.
Regardless, this announcement will no doubt generate a lot of hype for Bethesda, even if it is for a game that appears to be little more than an idea at this time.
