NVIDIA already announced its GeForce GTX 1060 6GB with prices ranging between $249 and $299 – it will be priced higher than AMD RX 480 so that means it won’t directly compete against AMD’s Radeon RX 480 which is priced at $199 to $239.
Well in that sense, NVIDIA may price its GTX 1060 3GB variant lower price point so it can compete against AMD aggressive pricing. NVIDIA is reported to hit a $149 price on the partner cards and the GTX 1060 3GB Founders Edition could be priced at $199.
Which will directly compete against the Radeon RX 470, which is priced at $149, and GTX 1060 3GB Founders Edition can take on reference RX480 as well. There also rumored that GTX 1060 3GB variant may use slightly different GPU core and have 100W TDP – down from the 120W TDP on the GTX 1060 6GB card. Although, both cards use a single 6-pin power connector.
