MSI is all set to debut two of its top-tier graphics card under the Lightning brand, the GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z, at Computex 2017. The new Lightning Z will feature a triple fan TriFrozr cooling solution with three TorX 2.0 fans. The new generation of the Lightning line of graphics cards ditch its iconic yellow color and comes with natural black and silver color scream, in favor of RGB LED lighting which supports MSI’s own Mystic Light. The will feature a fully custom PCB design and makes use of MSI’s Military Class 4 components.
The next MSI graphics card, however, a reworked GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X, even though MSI’s Gaming X already available but this new model will feature an extra IO option, a USB Type-C connector as a display output. Which is interesting to see, as many high-end monitors already offering USB Type-C interface. This new USB Type-C port promises to have end-all be-all of display protocols since it can leverage DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, and HDMI. Which means it can run and adopt all three interface with one single port.
