Intel’s Skylake-X series CPUs are rumored to release in Q3 2017

According to DigiTimes, Intel’s Skylake-X and Kaby Lake series CPUs are rumored to release at Gamescom in Q3 2017.

The Intel’s Skylake-X and Kaby Lake series CPUs will come with Intel’s new X299 series chipset and new LGA 2066 socket with DDR4 memory. The Skylake-X series of CPUs are expected to have up to 10 CPU cores and 44 PCIe lanes. The pricing of Skylake-X series CPUs is expected to cost between $450 and $1800 similar to current X99 Broadwell-E series CPUs.

Right now Intel’s desktop-grade Kaby Lake-S series of CPUs and 200-series motherboards are expected to launch at CES 2017, which starts on January 4th.
