Intel is rumored to bring a 6-core “Coffee Lake” CPU in 2018

Intel is rumored to release a 6-core “Coffee Lake” CPU on 14nm process in 2018 for the mainstream market. The “Coffee Lake” will come after intel’s upcoming Kaby Lake processors and 10nm Cannon Lake silicon, which is designed to offer low power draw for small form factor or mobile computing.

This is the first time Intel increased core count in their mainstream CPUs, as of now mainstream CPU have 4 cores, with Coffee lake Intel bring 6 core CPUs. In the table, we can see Intel’s 6-core “coffee lake” CPUs will release in 2018 in 2-core, quad-core, and hex-core variants and will use Intel’s GT3e graphics.
