A leaked SiSoft SANDRA benchmark leaderboards reveal details about Intel’s 7th generation Core i7-7700K. The Core i7-7700K also a quad-core CPU just like current gen Core i7 6700K and feature HyperThreading enabling 8 logical cores. The benchmark also shows that It will be clocked at 3.60 GHz, with a TurboBoost up to 4.20 GHz. Compare to current 4.00 GHz base and 4.20 GHz TurboBoost clocks speed of Core i7-6700K. But do not, this is a pre-release engineering sample so that it may change in actual release.
The IMC (integrated memory controller) of the i7-7700K will be clocked at 4.00 GHz. The integrated graphics core will feature 24 execution units with 1150MHz clock speed. The cache setup is also unchanged, with 256 KB per-core L2, and 8 MB shared L3 caches. The Intel Core i7-7700K built on “Kaby Lake” architecture on Intel’s 14 nm node, which is rumored to be more energy-efficient than “Skylake”. Intel Core i7-7700K also uses the LGA1151 socket and compatible with current Intel 100-series and future 200-series chipset motherboard.
