Intel Coffee Lake-S 8 Core CPU with iGPU spotted in Intel’s Documentation

Intel’s upcoming Coffee Lake-S CPUs are still only excised on leaks but now user dayman56 on Reddit, have noticed the usual trickle of information that precedes a product release. It looks like, Intel themselves have started listing technical documents referencing the Coffee Lake-S parts, and though these read as confidential, the hints are there.

On this documents, the Intel’s 8th Generation Technical Library read “Coffee Lake S 8+2 DDR4 UDIMM Reference Validation Platform Technical Documentation Kit”, “Coffee Lake S6+2 S8+2 Processor Line Ballout, Signal, and Mechanical Package”, and “Coffee Lake S 8+2 Processor Power Integrity Model”. One interesting detail here is that these documents are listed under the 8th Generation library; this could mean the new Coffee Lake-S part being marketed under 8th gen. And this would mean that this 8th Gen CPU, albeit being equipped with 8 cores, would be compatible with 300-series chipsets, because well – those are the chipsets required to run 8th Gen Intel CPUs.
