GIGABYTE already launched its GeForce GTX 1080 lineup with just two cards, the reference Founders Edition card, and the GTX 1080 G.1 Gaming. But company teased about their flagship card multiple times and now the showcased it at COMPUTEX 2016, the Xtreme card is targeted at people who use their graphics cards, not just for gaming but overclocking.
The GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming is every bit as high-end with full custom VRM design and new ‘muscular’ cooler to keep the beast cool and calm. The GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming feature two additional front-facing HDMI ports, for extended VR-link HDMI ports, for your VR gear. The card also includes a 5.25-inch front panel, with two HDMI ports, and two USB 3.0 ports which wire to motherboard’s USB 3.0 front-panel header. But those HMDs ports are not plug-and-play, and you need to reboot your PC to allow the graphics card to detect and auto-configure them. The showcased care don’t have a backplate but the retail version of this card ships with a back-plate.
