AMD’s RX 500 series have been found in latest Radeon Software Crimson 17.3.2 GPU driver, confirming the upcoming RX 560, 570 and 580 cards. Currently, RX 500 series is expected to launch on April 18th.

This new driver listed the RX 580 and 570 as an AMD67DF device ID, the same ID used for Polaris 10 GPUs, with the RX 560 coming with an AMD67EF device ID, which is the same as the Polaris 11 based RX 460.

This confirming that AMD using same Polaris architecture GPUs in RX 500 cards instead of Vega and will be a Polaris refresh, rather than a completely new GPU.

The new RX 500 series will likely to use a faster memory and higher clocks speeds compare to current RX 400 series equivalents.
