AMD “Polaris 12” spotted in Linux Drivers

Apparently, AMD is working on their new GPU based on “Polaris 12.” From AMDGPU DRM kernel driver on Linux, there is PCI-IDs 0x6980, 0x6981, 0x6985, 0x6986, 0x6987, and 0x699F, were pointing to a descriptor “Polaris 12.” Which means we may see Polaris 12 powered card in coming month. So far no information is available on

There are no other known specifications of this chip. But it may not be meant for a high-end segment that will be a Vega GPU. So this “Polaris 12,” could be an even smaller chip than Polaris 11 (Radeon RX 460) through it all speculation and we don’t have enough evidence to confirm anything.
