Amazon become increasingly popular in India and Amazon wants to be bigger. India is becoming a very big and important market for gadget manufacturers and retailers. To rival local retailers Flipkart and Snapdeal, Amazon wants to invest $5 billion for expansion. Amazon is preparing to launch its music, instant video and Amazon Prime subscription delivery service in the country later this year. Amazon appointed former Sony Entertainment executive Nitesh Kripalani for build their music and video content for its regional Prime service.
The Indian online retail market has become more big and competitive over the past few years. The market is still getting bigger day by day, other rivals also investing in the market like Flipkart recently generated around $3 billion and Snapdeal also raised $1 billion. Amazon itself raised $2 billion in India last year.
