Acer has released the BE270U, a 27 inch 2560×1440 IPS panel with a 75 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. The panel also has a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio over 350 cd/m2 of brightness, with a respectable 6ms response time. Other features include, two 2 W speakers and supported by what Acer calls an ErgoStand, which allows for 60º swivel, -5º and 35º tilt, and 90º pivot – though you can also wall-mount it if you so prefer. For connectivity, the BE27OU’s include one DP, one Mini-DP, two HDMI with MHL, and a USB 3.0 hub.
Acer has targeted this monitor for professionals like website designers and photographers offering some multi-tasking capabilities, such as multi-streaming and PiP (Picture-in-picture). The BE270U is available for an MSRP of $499, with a three-year limited warranty.
